31st Annual Montague Norsemen Memorial Tournament

January 12th - 15th, 2023
 

Montague Minor Hockey Association is very excited to open registration for the 31st Annual Montague Norsemen Memorial Tournament!
 

The Montague Norsemen Memorial Hockey Tournament had its beginning when friends and fellow teammates of George Sorrey started the George Sorrey Peewee “A” Tournament in 1990. This was in tribute to George, who was killed in a car crash. In 1994, The Paul McGuigan Bantam Tournament began in tribute to Paul who passed away suddenly from meningococcus infection. Thus the Memorial Tournament concept came through the efforts of a dedicate group of volunteers and our chairman John Rousseau. Each division pays respect to an influential member of the Montague Minor Hockey family.

The 2021 and 2022 Norsemen tournaments were cancelled due to Covid-19, so we are very excited to be back in 2023. For information on the 30th Annual tournament held in 2020, click HERE. 

The 31st Annual Montague Norsemen Memorial Tournament will be held January 12th to 15th, 2023 at the Montague & Area Wellness Centre and surrounding rinks. Each team is guaranteed three games, with individual prizes for first and second place teams.
